British, possibly Irish, mid 18th century, each with shaped foldover top, each top opening to a leather lined playing surface, shell and bellflower carved knees on stocking feet, in old surface with rich brown color, the taller example with shell and bellflower carved front knees, [excellent condition, old patch and repair to gate, possible restorations to chip drawer], 29 x 33-1/2 x 16-1/4 in.; the shorter example with shell and bellflower carving on all four knees, [some warping, cracks and minor repairs to skirt veneers, probable restoration to chip drawer, some possible restoration at one rear leg (variation to surface of foot bottom)], 27-3/4 x 33-1/2 x 16-1/4 in.
Condition
both with later leather playing surfaces, minor warping to tops, typical veneer cracks and distress and other scattered flaws

Shipping arrangements are made only after the invoice is paid. The payment for shipping is a separate charge from payment of your lots.
Sales Tax: If you live in North Carolina and/or pick up from the auction house, and do not have a valid resale tax number on file with us, you MUST pay North Carolina state sales tax. The NC Sales Tax will not apply to any items being shipped out of state (unless the client resides in North Carolina) or to those clients with a resale tax number.
