(Spartanburg County, SC, 1941-1961) double gourd form, tan alkaline glaze to upper jug, olive green alkaline glaze to lower jug, four large melt runs with rutile highlights from upper spout down face, side, and back, applied features, white clay teeth and eyes, blue and black pupils, large incised "Palmetto Tree" between "S.C." on back of lower jug, applied strap handle, lug handle at rear base edge, mustache and goatee with articulated stitches on lower face jug, inscribed on base "Billy Henson / Lyman S.C./ Wood Fired / July 1996" over an incised pig, 22-1/2 in.
