by Carl Thieme, Dresden (Potschappel) late 19th/early 20th century, made in four parts, the ogee body with handles of lightly clad female figures seated on the shoulder is bolted to the molded gadrooned foot, the cover (also gadrooned) rises with putti supporting a heraldic device enclosed in a scrolled frame and crowned, the whole is supported on a base with four scrolled feet, polychrome applied flowers are scattered on the surface of all parts, the body is painted on one side with a scene of women baptizing a girl child on one side and an elaborate flower bouquet on the other, underglaze-blue crossed swords with letter "T", 32 in. overall,. Condition: some individual flowers and foliage have chips or missing petals, the putti are repaired where they attach to the scrolled frame.
