Carved White Marble Mantle Clock French, late 19th/early 20th century, clock stamped "Guyenot ? Paris", cast bronze figure of reclining maiden numbered "321" and holding a bird's nest with chicks and a bird and serpent, floral-decorated platform on carved white marble pedestal support encasing a circular enameled clockworks, enameled dial with Roman counters, stepped and carved thumb-mold base with bronze bun feet, with two keys and a pendulum, 20 x 26 x 8-1/4 in., cracking and wear to enameled dial, old breaks, repairs and chip to marble platform base, old crack and repair to marble in rear, lacking one rear foot. Provenance: by descent in the Sprunt and Taylor families of Wilmington and Winston Salem, North Carolina
