Chinese, 20th century, cover with phoenix head, flower and branch, elaborately carved vasiform body with floral and phoenix devices, two handles flanking flaring neck, sides supported by Chinese figures holding flowers, rectangular platform base, 10-1/2 in.; finely carved and reticulated hardwood stand, 2-1/2 in., cover with flecks, chips and extensive visible interior fractures, loss to back of phoenix head with visible repairs, body with extensive visible fractures throughout, old break and repair between platform base and standing figure, chips and losses overall; minor losses and repairs to top of stand.
