No I Won't, signed lower right "Minnie Mikell", oil on canvas, 24 x 20 in.; gilt and painted frame, 32 x 27-1/2 in.
Provenance: A South Carolina Collection
Note: Mikell trained under leading Charleston Renaissance artist, Alfred Hutty and her work was exhibited at the Gibbs Museum in Charleston, South Carolina. The painting is entitled "no I won't" and won the 1959 premium for the South Carolina State Fair.
