Private collection, (possibly) acquired from the above, circa late 1970s." There is no record of this gallery in exhibition history. However, according to William "Mac" Chambers, expert and former Vice President of Grace Borgenicht Gallery, Milton Avery's wife, Sally, was putting his work in many galleries during the 70s that were not necessarily known by biographers. Cold Spring Harbor was known as an affluent enclave in which a fine art gallery would be well suited to sell important paintings. - Provenance: Christie's New York, February 26, 2014, Lot 169, sold for $50,000; Private Collection, Connecticut
