Provenance: The MESDA file records that this cupboard was "made for and descended in the Alexander Evins, a Revolutionary War figure who migrated to Spartanburg County, South Carolina after the war. He's buried at Nazareth Church Cemetery, Spartanburg County. The owner's grandfather married the granddaughter of Alexander Evins in 1861."
