Provenance: The MESDA file records that this cupboard was "made for and descended in the Alexander Evins, a Revolutionary War figure who migrated to Spartanburg County, South Carolina after the war. He's buried at Nazareth Church Cemetery, Spartanburg County. The owner's grandfather married the granddaughter of Alexander Evins in 1861." very good condition, undisturbed backboards with cut nails, appears to retain some of its original glass panes, original feet with scattered patches and repairs (rear foot replaced but original foot accompanies the lot), repair at center of lower molding, scattered minor patches to door frames, other typical minor cracks and surface flaws
