late 19th century, retailed by Jacot & Sons, New York, finely crafted paneled oak case with leaf-carved front, single hidden drawer, two handles at sides, bracket feet, lift top with glass, lithographic label listing the ten tunes, single cylinder, Jacot's safety check mechanism dated September 22, 1896, fitted with drums, tambourines, six bells and bees, 11 x 28 x 15 in.; with book Roy Mosoriak, [A Curious History of Music Boxes,] Chicago, 1943 in working condition at time of examination.
