Birds, Flowers and Insects (38 pieces) German, late 19th century, polychrome decoration with gilt rims, including 20 plates 8-1/4 in. to 9-3/4 in., 7 rim soups 9-1/2 in., [three chipped foot rims, three with repaired rim chip, gilding worn]; numerous serving pieces, including fish platter 23-1/2 in., large ogee-form covered dish with handles 9-1/4 x 13 in., large oval platter 18 in. [repaired], large oval platter with upturned handles 19-3/4 in., rectangular covered dish 7 x 12-3/4 in., square dish 13 in., oval dish 11 in., and two round dishes 9-1/2 in. [both with repaired rims]; all marked with underglaze blue crossed swords with hilts and all marks scratched through as seconds,. Condition: good condition, except as noted, various anomalies as made, slight wear to pattern in bottom of some dishes. Provenance: Collection of Anne and Robert K.
