circa 1922, Esser-designed (German, 1885-1945) bowl with grape-cluster handles and holder/cover with elaborate finial of branches supporting a cockatoo, both parts with underglaze blue painted crossed swords, incised crossed swords and script initial "H" and impressed "147", also incised numbers "220" on holder and "219" on bowl, 14-3/4 in.,.
