side by side, 12 bore, 28 in. barrels, S/N 27701 and 27792, marked on trigger guard tang, 2-3/4 in. cartridge case, boring of barrels No. 1 right good cylinder and left improved cylinder, No. 2 right 1/4 choke and left 3/4 choke, single trigger, checkered wrist, front bead sights on a solid rib, bottom of breech marked  "J. PURDEY & SONS/LONDON/ENGLAND", both sides of plates are marked "J PURDEY & SONS", solid concave rib marked "J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE. SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON, ENGLAND", both sets have various proof marks and tonnage markings on the flats, gold-inlaid "1" or "2" as appropriate, fine scroll and rosette engraving covers most of the surface of the frame, tang mounted safety with gold "SAFE" and mounted with a nicely figured multi-point checkered walnut straight grip stock with teardrop flats, solid leather recoil pad and gold inset "SRC" on the underside, comes with a leather, felt-lined partitioned case with leather corner protectors and fittings, leather straps and carrying handle, James Purdey & Sons label and measurement tag are affixed to the inside of the lid and wine colored lining, also included are two piece brass and wood cleaning rod, nickel oiler and a snap cap pouch

No. 1 in very good condition on forearm, abrasions and color losses under forearm and light scratches and abrasions to barrel, light abrasions to leather recoil pad, small dents to wood stock; No. 2 with abrasions and color losses under forearm, small nicks to left barrel, muzzle with color loss, leather recoil leather pads with light wear, small dents to wood stock
