1790-1810, painted dial with seconds sweep and date aperture, eight day brass movement, back of dial with paper label “S. Curtis Clock Dial Manufacturer. Boston”, case with scrolled fretwork and brass finials, highly figured waisted case with fluted quarter columns and French feet, with a pendulum winder and two weights, 96 x 20-1/2 x 10 in.
Provenance: old label inside door, “This clock belonged to Stuart James Park, 1773-1859 and was bought by him probably about 1812. Lawrence Park"; Private Collection, Blacksburg, Virginia

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction, or will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. dial paint with even crackle, some color variation and scattered light abrasions, hood fretwork with one repair and resurfaced (possibly original), original saddle board (works and case appear to be a good match), shrinkage crack at base panel, bottom board replaced original feet
