English, circa 1840, of hexagonal section with richly gilt lustred scroll handles, domed cover with pineapple finial, printed and painted with panels of pagodas in Asian gardens on islands, fisherman on a lake, reserves on a dark blue ground with scrolling foliage and flowers, 37-1/2 in., lid restored; regilding, glaze chips around foot.
