Two mammalian subject hand colored engravings from The Natural History of Carolina, Florida and The Bahama Islands: T. 18 Java Hare, signed with monogram in plate, 1754 edition, on laid paper with Strasbourg Lily watermark with "LV" pendant, plate 10 x 13-7/8 in., sheet 13-7/8 x 20 in.; T. 74 The Gray Fox Squirrel, third edition, on wove paper with ?Edmeads & Co 1809? watermark, plate 9-7/8 x 13-3/4 in., sheet 14-1/2 x 20-7/8 in.; matching modern wood frames, 23-1/8 x 27 in.

Condition

T. 18 binding edge at bottom, tear with tape bottom right, toning; frame with abrasions; T. 74 hinged in, toning, fading, binding edge present, chipping in bottom and right margin, smudge right margin, pencil inscription.

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
