Peirce", oil on canvas, 25-1/4 x 21-1/4 in.; modern gilt wood frame, 32-1/2 x 28-1/2 in.  - Note: "Margaret S. Peirce was active in the Boston area during the first two decades of the twentieth century. She exhibited at the Boston Art Club in 1902 and with the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts annual in 1912. From 1913 to 1919, she occupied a studio at Boston’s historic Fenway Studios, a building constructed in 1905 specifically for the purpose of being used by artists, with spacious room designs and large north facing windows offering ideal lighting. Fellow artists at the studio building during Peirce’s time there included Charles Hopkinson, Frederick A.
