England, circa 1870, possibly Minton, cover with deeply molded hare, mallard and black bird on a bed of green ferns with branch handle, base in the form of a brown basket intertwined with green oak leaves and branches, buff-colored liner is white inside, earthenware, 7-3/4 in. x 13-3/4 in. liner has repaired chip on flange, some crazing and discoloration on reverse; cover with firing anomalies inside, base with firing anomalies
