probably Tennessee or Virginia, 19th century, orange/red and black speckled glaze with faded black circular decoration around body, ring decoration around shoulder, knob finial, flared rim, pronounced foot around base, 8-3/4 in.. Condition: glaze voids and anomalies as made, wear and chips around entire rim and to interior, chips to lid knob, 1-1/2 in. hairline to body, minor chip to base edge.
