(French, late 19th/early 20th century) [Bords du Loing à Montigny], signed lower right "L Canivet" and titled verso, oil on canvas, 12-3/4 x 18-1/4 in.; 20th century gilt wood and composition frame original stretcher and tacking edge, crackle, grime; frame with abrasions. Notes: Canivet was a member of the [Societaire des Artistes Francais] and exhibited in the salons in the late 19th century with an honorable mention in 1897.. original stretcher and tacking edge, crackle, grime; frame with abrasions
