(Spartanburg County, SC, 1941-2001) double gourd form, brown and tan underglaze, runny dark green alkaline over glaze to top jug with large creamy green melt runs down faces and back of jug, applied facial features, mustache to lower face, unglazed white clay eyeballs to upper faces, glazed clay eyeballs to lower face, black circular pupils, incised "palmetto tree" between "S.C." with "crescent moon", inscribed "Jan 19 2000" date to side of lower jug, inscribed "Billy Henson / Lyman S.C. / Wood Fired" on base, 20-3/4 in.
