British or American, 1810, scene of a well dressed family with painted silk faces and arms, strolling by a columned monument surrounded by willow trees, conifers, and flowers, signed below, "Fanny Miller's Work done in the Fourteenth Year of her age 1810 BU", carnation floral border, silk, gilt threads in monument, watercolor and ink on loosely woven canvas ground, torn envelope with handwritten note detailing early ownership attached, sight 20-1/2 x 20-3/4 in.; gilt frame with twisted rope molding, 23-3/4 x 23-3/4 in.

Condition

possible water damage to center resulting in light stains, minor losses to silk faces and arms, evenly spaced holes to right and left sides of carnation border, overall toning and fading, not examined out of frame

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
