Griffin-Carved Ebonized Bases
Continental, late 19th century, horns each with silver-plated cuff engraved "Rom 1880", each horn resting on an ebonized and weighted tripod stand set with three carved and winged griffins, 28 in. horns, 23-1/2 in. with horns inserted, horns with later discolored varnish at cuffs, one with large break and crude repair with separations, the stands with minor cracks and separations at laminations, some griffin mounts slightly loose.
