(Lincoln County, North Carolina, 1914-2002), olive green alkaline glaze, some glaze runs with rutile highlights, applied facial features including single incised eyebrow, inset eyes, nose and teeth, open mouth with double row of broken china teeth, two applied strap handles form shoulder to base of flared spout, stamped on base “B.B. CRAIG, VALE, N.C.”, 19 in.. Condition: glaze voids and anomalies as made, firing separations at upper lip, 4 in. area of abrasion to back of jar with associated long hairline crack running from back of jug over shoulder through handle and across forehead, hairline to left handle.
