Japanese, early 20th century, crafted in the Chinese archaic style, Chi Lin mythical figure over reticulated cover with stylized clouds, finely decorated six-panel melon body with pierced latticework and mythical creatures below winged dragons, three flaring legs hung with Buddhist symbols, retains original bronze insert, signed on base with attribution to Nishimura, Tokyo, 16 in., 25-1/2 in., polished, minor corrosion.
