Paris, 1710, after Rubens (Flemish, 1577-1640), complete with 24 black-and-white plates (three double-page plates), 24 x 18-3/4 in., good only in marbled boards, leather spine, with lots of wear at the extremities; the plates have some toning, foxing and occasional loss at the extremities.. Notes: The original Rubens paintings once hung in the Luxembourg Palace and now hang in the Louvre.. Provenance: Collection of James R. Beeler, Wilmington, North Carolina
