Christie's 2013 condition report for this high chest notes "Finials and brasses appear to be original. Wafers and side finials plinths possibly of a later date. Returns on swans neck cornice probably replaced. Knot hole filled on left side of case. Crack and repair to back edge of left side of case. Crack and repair to back edge of right side of case. Patch to drawer lip on upper right short drawer. Some losses to drawer lips at corners. Some pitting to surface of one brass on third long drawer from top. Shrinkage crack to lower most drawer in upper section. The lower section： with some losses and minor patches to drawer lips. Some triangular patches to upper corners on right short drawer. Knob on fan drawer replaced. Crack and repair to right side of apron near front leg. Possible surface patches to lobes on central portion of apron. Shims added to runners on left short drawer. Bruising and abrasions to legs and feet."
