(American, born 1950s) "Aquaflora" glass sculpture, base with signature "Kate Vogel and John Littleton", dated 1986, purple-to-clear glass flower set on twisted clear glass stem, 19-3/8 x 10-1/2 x 10 in., excellent condition. Notes: The consignor was for ten years a member of the Penland School of Crafts Board, Spruce Pine, NC, and had the opportunity to know many of the glass artists there and watch the creative process. Over numerous years, this consignor took a deep interest in traveling, meeting top artists, some in their studios and homes, others in gallery shows and began collecting important Art Glass in various venues within the U.S.A. and abroad..
