Note: Wolfe attended the Art Institute of Chicago, was a member of the Dixie Art Colony http://dixieartcolony.org/karl-ferdinand-wolfe/ and taught at Millsaps College. He was also instrumental in establishing the Municipal Gallery which would become the Mississippi Art Museum. He is well known for his portraiture.
