Scottish, late 18th or early 19th century, scrolled broken arch pediment with applied foliate panels, fluted columnar supports, painted Roman numeral dial with floral spandrels, moon phase painted with pastoral scenes, brass movement, spurred lower door flanked by fluted quarter columns, string inlaid base, bracket feet, includes pendulum, winder, and two weights, 79-1/2 x 19-1/2 x 10 in.
upper case with some minor repairs, lifting and separation along floral panels, painted dial in good condition with thin paint cracks, very small losses, and some later paint on moon phase, weights with heavy pitting, wear and oxidation to pendulum, case with thin cracks, small shrinkages, minor old repairs, feet with repairs and losses, scattered general wear from age and use, door does not close evenly, clock functionality not tested
