Female, 2., Plate LXII, Plate Engraved, Printed, & Coloured by R.Havell & Son, London, Variant II, from [The Birds of America], London, 1827-1838, hand-colored engraving with aquatint and etching on "J. Whatman 1831" paper, 26 x 20-7/8 in. (plate), 38-1/8 x 25-1/2 in. (page); fine modern gilt wood frame with bound-reed decoration, French mat, conservation glass and framing strong colors, retains binding edge, yellow brown possibly slightly fugitive, restoration small edge tear and to 3-1/2 in. tear lower left not affecting image, toning mostly in margins, handling grime at corner lower right, hinged in at top; frame with abrasions.
