South Carolina, early to mid 19th century, bulbous lobed body with grape and vine die-rolled border, domed lobed lid with dolphin finial, cast bird spout, scroll handle with dolphin terminal, wood spacers, monogram, marks for John Ewan (Charleston, South Carolina, working 1823-1852), 9-1/2 in.
