A breakfront secretary bookcase by Nehemiah Adams, also discovered in South Africa, is illustrated and discussed in Charles Montgomery, American Furniture: The Federal Period, pages 224-226, no. 181.? It is one of only a handful of documented objects by Chipman.ÿÿ
