Note: In 1981, Jim Williams shot and killed his assistant, Danny Lewis Hansford in the study at his home, Mercer House in Savannah, Georgia. The event was later retold in the acclaimed book by John Berendt, [Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil]. This pedestal was located in the study, the scene of the crime and sold in the Jim Williams estate sale conducted by Sotheby's in 2000.
