Henner", oil on canvas, 18 x 13 in.; original gilt wood and composition frame, original stretcher and tacking edge, edges taped, some frame abrasions and related flaking, scattered light retouch, craquelure; frame with losses and resurfacing. Notes: Exhibited: H.C. Frick Collection 1896-1899; Howard Young Galleries, New York City 1911; H. A. Auerbach The lot is accompanied by a note from Howard Young Galleries outlining provenance and dated June 6, 1923. Also accompanying lot is a letter on Howard Young Galleries letterhead from Howard Young to Mr. H. A. Auerbach, dated December 1, 1920, discussing the shipment of the painting..
