The lot is accompanied by a note from Howard Young Galleries outlining provenance and dated June 6, 1923. Also accompanying lot is a letter on Howard Young Galleries letterhead from Howard Young to Mr. H. A. Auerbach, dated December 1, 1920, discussing the shipment of the painting..
