18th through 20th centuries, brown-glazed stoneware jar with impressions and hole in side, 10 in., scattered glaze wear and losses, firing flaws especially at base; together with a 20th century Japanese earthenware basket, 6-1/4 x 10-1/4 in., chips and roughness at base rim, glaze splashed in basket interior .
