late 19th/early 20th century, containing 47 hand-colored albumen photographs housed in pebble-cloth boards with gilt lettering on the upper cover, metal spine, photographs depict architecture, landscapes, city views, people, cultural events, Mount Fuji, etc., some of which have small title captions, 11-1/4 x 15-3/4 in. back board is detached, wear at the extremities, covers is good condition only; photographs are in very good condition, some are a bit faded.
