Dallas as Acting Secretary of War, partially printed on vellum, paper seal intact, 10-7/8 x 15-1/5 in. (page); modern wood frame toning, scattered foxing, fading, creases, pest damage to seal, stains, ghosting, pencil inscriptions recto, "Major Brevet(?), 6th Inf." in black ink over pencil inscription verso (probably not period); frame with abrasions.
