20th President of the U.S. (1881) Garfield's clipped signature, 1-5/8 x 4 in., very slightly foxed otherwise very good condition; together with three Charles J. Guiteau items: Guiteau's business card, 2-3/8 x 4-1/4 in., toned otherwise very good condition, and two Guiteau signatures on small cards, 2 x 3 in., very good condition; Guiteau assassinated Garfield on July 2, 1881, his trial was long and sensational and he would sell his signature to raise funds for his costly defense, he was hanged on June 30, 1882; Provenance: Guiteau business card- Peter Stern Booksellers; Guiteau signatures: R.
