British, 1836-1840, set includes eight soup bowls and six dinner plates, each transfer-printed in sepia with a chinoiserie scene of a couple conversing in a park near a flower-filled urn and before a gazebo and an exotic building on the banks of a river within a wide border of trellises, scrolls and floral sprays on the wavy-edged rim, impressed "Davenport/[anchor]/Canton", 10-1/2 in.; with 20th century storage bags; accompanying the lot is the Sotheby's [Estate of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis] auction catalog with the dinnerware pictured on page 89; and Sotheby's auction results, showing $6,900 sale
