A Venetian Canal Scene, with a cardinal giving an address from a loggia, unsigned, watercolor and ink on paper mounted to stretched canvas, 9-7/8 x 9-7/8 in.; parcel gilt oak frame with wood liner, staining, toning, fading, some small areas with corrosive ink. Notes: This work is reminiscent of the Venetian views of Luca Carlevaris (or Lucas Carlevarijs, 1663-1730), a painter, etcher and architect.. Provenance: Private Collection
