The Trial of a Saint, unsigned, oil on canvas, 25-1/4 x 19 in.; 18th/19th century gilt wood and composition frame with grape vine garland decoration 19th century paste and linen lining, skinning, approximately two periods of retouch, 'porthole cleaning' with remnants of natural resin varnish, crackle; frame with abrasions.
