Continental, late 18th century, with probably original variegated marble top, over a relief decorated frieze with carved rosettes, above applied leaf carved swags, fluted legs with stretcher base, 34-/12 x 42 x 22 in. - Provenance: Consignor notes indicate the table once had a tag from Dixon and Dixon of New Orleans with a price of $15,600; Estate of Dr. Joan C. Huntley, Chapel Hill, North Carolina repairs at swag attachments (swags possibly restored or later additions), repairs at base of legs where joined to stretchers with associated later paint, turned feet are replaced, typical wear to gilding with some areas of retouch, break and repair at one rear leg
