17th/18th century, lid with iron strap hinges and interior till, well carved facade with standing figures centering an armorial crest, carved moldings and paw feet, early iron lock and carrying handles, 23-3/4 x 64 x 21 in.; feet and bottom boards are old replacements

generally good integrity and condition, later metal braces at top corners of box, strip patch at back edge of lid, scattered pest damage with some associated losses, including at front base molding, some losses and minor repairs to standing figures, probably original feet, other typical warping, cracks and minor repairs; feet and bottom boards are old replacements
