Cincinnati, circa 1900, dial signed "Frank Herschede/Cincinnati/.0.", silvered and gilt dial with arched and painted moon phase, eight bells, Westminster chimes, chime silent, seconds hand, brass movement with three brass weights, carved arched hood centering a classical mask, elaborately carved figured mahogany waisted case, with pendulum and winder, 104 x 30 x 17 in. - Note: good overall, dial with some tarnish and minor polish wear, scattered light flaking to moon phase, tear to fabric at upper back panel, surface abrasions to weights, crack at pediment and loss at one scroll tip, other scattered minor flaws - Provenance: Private Collection, Columbus, North Carolina
