early 19th century, "Written Remembrance of the [Baltic] and Her Crew", executed by William H. Warner for James Merithero on board the ship [Baltic], in fraktur script with blue watercolor accents, eagle bearing "We Are One" at top center nestled among field of stars and flanked by sun and moon, other illustrations of sailing ships and American flags present throughout, written record of officers and crew, family births and deaths, starboard and port ("larboard") watch, several stanzas of poetry or song including partial lyrics for Come Loose Every Sail to the Breeze, framed, laid down on card, sight 12-1/2 x 18-3/4 in.

laid down on card, staining and toning throughout, light areas of foxing, rough edges commensurate with age, crease lines from folding with some losses at crease intersections, expected wear and losses at periphery, some ink bleed; vintage burlwood frame with wear commensurate with age

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
