Pennsylvania, circa 1755, the carving attributed to the Garvan high chest carver, elaborately carved and figured waisted case, the arched brass and silvered dial signed "Carel Christoffel Tappe Amsterdam", with brass movement, period weights, one of them with engraved inscription "This clock was brought to the province of Pennsylvania from Amsterdam, 1738", 106 x 23 x 11-1/2 in.
