Family Chinese Chippendale Mahogany Open-Arm Chair attributed to Charleston, South Carolina, 1765-1775, mahogany throughout, rich reddish-brown color with traces of early surface, 39-1/2 x 28 x 20 in. (17 in. at seat), now set with a damask-upholstered loose cushion,. Condition: excellent condition overall with some cracks and repairs at curved arm attachments to stiles, patches and repairs at joint of arm supports to side rails, patch and repair at one rear square arm support, some later blocking under seat.
