The day starts with 180+ lots of Asian arts to include items descended in the family of Anson Burlingame, a 19th century diplomat to China, a lifetime collection of snuff bottles of jade, stone, and porcelain, and carved stone seals, and a family collection of early underglaze blue and Qing porcelains from estate of Wm. Sauer, D.C., sold to benefit the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters, Norfolk, Virginia. The auction ends with 250+ lots of American and British paintings, folk art, and furniture, Southern pottery, sterling silver, and Steiff animals, which includes a 6 ft. camel.

scarlet and French blue striped jockey's racing jersey, by Merry & Co.; five framed photographs of Laughlin family owned horses, names include: "Moisson", "Sablin", others, largest 18 x 15 in.; four additional photographs, jockey Arcaro with "Thingumabob", jockey Hanford, 8 x 6 in. to 11 x 14 in., the latter with matting; along with various registration papers and certificates, relevant to Laughlin horses and team colors, the majority dating to the 1970s

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction, or will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
