ÂThis series of busts was commissioned by Charles Philipon to be a part of a window display at [la Cariacature]. In 1927, Maurice Le Garrec (MLG) purchased the terracotta from Philipon's grandson and produced a small edition of each between 1929-1953; Edition 9/25 underneath
