(Pennsylvania/Germany, 1831-1932) Moonlight in Florida, signed lower left "H. Herzog", oil on canvas, 20 x 16 in.; gilt wood and composition frame original stretcher and tacking edge, light grime, stretcher with label and "A7" with title and size. Notes: Donald S. Lewis, Jr. has kindly confirmed the authenticity of this painting. The lot is accompanied by the photo certificate. Elaine Sutin Teicher is a professional violinist and has performed as a chamber musician and orchestral player in the New York City metropolitan area. She has been the director of the Sutton Ensemble which was the resident artist of several area museums and state parks. She was a member of the New York Pops which performed regularly at Carnegie Hall. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, she received her Master's degree from Juilliard. Her late husband, Louis Teicher, who died in 2008, was part of the two-piano duo Ferrante and Teicher, best known for their hit recordings of movie themes. Ferrante and Teicher toured widely in the 60s and 70s, appeared often on TV shows, such as The Ed Sullivan Show, and earned many gold records.
